چکیده مقاله

Since strategic thinking has a direct and effective impact on university policy and planning, and on the other hand it is an important and effective component of the university. The present article seeks to investigate the strategic thinking of faculty members and their relationship with organizational learning. The present membership is applied in terms of its purpose; in terms of collecting information, quantitative and non-experimental research is a descriptive type of correlation. The statistical population consists of full-time faculty members and a visiting student of Islamic Azad University of Semnan in the academic year 96-95, which includes 260 people. The sample size was 155 randomly selected based on Morgan's table. The first tool is the Goldman Strategic Thinking Questionnaire (2005), with four components of system thinking, conceptual thinking, futurism, and smart opportunism. The second tool, the Neife's Organizational Learning Questionnaire (2001), consists of seven components of the eye-study, organizational culture, teamwork and team learning, knowledge sharing, system thinking, participatory leadership, and skills and competencies of the employees. The content validity of the questionnaire has been approved by experts and supervisor. Reliability of the questionnaires based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.83 for strategic thinking, and 0.91 for organizational learning. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation, t-test and regression) were used for analysis. The results showed that the strategic thinking and organizational learning of faculty members is higher than average, but organizational learning status is better than their strategic thinking. There is a positive and significant relationship between the two variables of strategic thinking with organizational learning of faculty members (r = 0.512), which is significant in the alpha level of 0.01. In other words, as the faculty members have more strategic thinking dimensions; their organizational learning will be further enhanced.
